Selena wanted to say more when David interrupted her, “ Alright, enough of this. Celia’s come down, so go chat with her instead. I’m fine here by myself. Celia’s an innocent girl and she truly likes you. I know you approached her with hidden intentions, but all I ask is that you treat her genuinely and well.”
“Don’t worry. I like Celia too, I would’ve treated her genuinely even if you didn’t ask me to,” Selena replied sincerely.
“Good. Rest assured , I recognize the contributions the King family has given to Somerland . I will not stand by and watch should you need my help.”

Selena glanced at David once more before turning to leave the kitchen.
David continued to busy himself and a table full of
flavorful dishes was complete.
The three of them chatted and ate away happily, and any signs of the discourse in the kitchen vanished.
