Chapter 2945 Dying Wish
“Not yet.” Jessica shook her head in response and glanced at Abelyn deliberately.
“Larry, do you think something would happen to Joan? I’m really scared.” Nancy’s voice trembled as she spoke.
“This is really a difficult question. Abelyn, what do you think? Will Joan return safely?” Larry turned around and provoked Abelyn on purpose.
Abelyn immediately looked away and lowered her gaze. Then, she closed her eyes and massaged her temples, ignoring his question.
Nancy couldn’t help but feel curious upon seeing their reactions. Did they quarrel with one another just now? She gazed at Jessica, hoping that she could get an answer.
“We’re good. Let’s go and find Joan!” Once Jessica finished, she grabbed Nancy’s hand and left.
Larry questioned Abelyn when Jessica was present, for he knew that Jessica was trustworthy. However, at least for now, Larry didn’t wish to reveal it to Nancy because she often acted on impulse.
“Alright, no one is here now except for both of us. Can you tell me the truth now? Why did you abduct Joan?” Larry questioned her straightforwardly.
Well, it’s definitely because she wishes to save herself by sacrificing me! Meanwhile, Abelyn tugged on the corner of her clothes as her face darkened. I can’t waste the opportunity to finish off that b*tch!
After glancing at Larry for a while, she left without saying a word. What can he do to me if I don’t talk? I don’t believe he’ll follow me anyway.
Larry shook his head as he watched her left, and a cold glint flashed across his eyes.
I gave you the chance to come clean, yet you didn’t cherish it. In that case, don’t you blame me for what happens next!
Miles away, Joan said, “I want to go to the washroom!”
Everyone around her fell silent instantly. Women are nothing but trouble. After a while, the man gazed at Joan and said cautiously, “Find a hotel.”
Since they had been driving for a day, they were already exhausted and had to get a place to rest.
Finally, the car came to a stop.
“Let’s go!” A few men pushed Joan into a ladies’ room.
She felt dispirited after looking around, for she realized that there was no way to escape from here.
“Come out now! Otherwise, we’ll barge in!” One of them yelled from outside.
In less than five minutes, Joan left the ladies’ room as she had no other options.
How can I do to leave some traces to Larry? Joan touched her chin and was deep in thought.
“That’s enough. Don’t come up with some tricks! You won’t be able to leave any trace no matter how hard you try to think of it!” The man said coldly, “After all, we’re experienced and wouldn’t let you enter a washroom where you can escape.”
So, they are fully prepared for all circumstances! How despicable! Why would they have the cheek to gang up on a weak lady! They’re a huge disgrace to all men!
“Our sponsor said that you have to die tomorrow, or else I would have killed you already,” one of them puffed out a cloud of smoke and said playfully.
Who exactly is the sponsor behind them? Joan knitted her brows as she was deep in thought. This is weird. Could it be Della? Why does she want to act so soon?
“Is your sponsor a woman?” Joan asked.
The man was stunned for a while but recollected himself soon. Then, he said smilingly, “You don’t have to know who our sponsor is. No matter what, you’ll be dead!”
Unfortunately, I haven’t had time to confess my feelings for Larry.
Joan said politely, “Before I die, I wish to ask a favor from you. I wonder if you can fulfill my dying wish?”
“What dying wish do you have? Forget it, don’t trouble us!” he answered directly and waved his hands as a gesture to dismiss her request. He didn’t care if someone who was about to die desired something.
