Chapter 1023 I Would Like To Borrow Something
“Mr. Zare, where is Jared?” Lizbeth asked Leviathan urgently after arriving at Shadow Estate.
“Ms. Grange, calm down. What’s wrong?” Leviathan saw Lizbeth trying to catch her breath and rushed to pour her a glass of water.
Lizbeth drank a mouthful of water and continued urgently, “It’s Josephine. Someone abducted her!”
“What?” Leviathan was dumbfounded and led Lizbeth as they rushed into the inner courtyard. He pointed to a room and said, “Mr. Chance is in here!”
Lizbeth pushed open the door and shoved Jared, sitting cross-legged on the floor.
That caused Jared to topple onto the floor and prompted his spiritual sense to leave the Thousands of Miles Away painting. He looked at the anxious Lizbeth and asked, “Lizbeth, what’s wrong?”
“Someone abducted Josephine!” Lizbeth answered urgently.
What?
Her words struck Jared like lightning, rendering him stunned on the spot.
After a while, Jared finally recovered from the shock and asked, “Who did it? Do you know who abducted Josephine?”
Lizbeth shook her head. “I don’t know. They all wore masks. However, they were tremendously powerful and were likely Top Level Martial Arts Grandmasters. Furthermore, there were four of them, so Josephine and I did not have a chance to fight back.”
Jared frowned upon hearing how powerful the abductors were.
Only a few people in Jadeborough had attained Top Level Martial Arts Grandmaster rank. Other than Warriors Alliance, only a few sects had high-ranking members that attained that rank.
Who could it be? Why would they want to abduct Josephine? Could it be my enemy?
Jared considered these questions quietly.
“Jared, you must hurry up and find a way. You need to bring people to search for her.” Lizbeth became anxious when Jared remained silent.
Jared raised his hand to silence her. “Don’t panic. Let me think.”
Then, Jared closed his eyes and furrowed his brow deeply.
After a while, he suddenly reopened his eyes. They flashed intimidatingly.
“I know who abducted Josephine!” Jared exuded a murderous aura.
“Who did it?” Lizbeth asked.
“It’s Warren from Warriors Alliance,” Jared answered with a chilling glint in his eyes.
“Warren?” Lizbeth was stunned. “Why would he want to abduct Josephine? Is it to threaten you?”
Jared shook his head. “They didn’t abduct Josephine because of me but due to her fiery constituent. Do you remember I drank Josephine’s blood during my battle with Warren. He had seen that, so that must be why he abducted Josephine.”
“Oh no! What should we do? We must hurry up and save Josephine.” Lizbeth became even more anxious upon hearing Jared’s explanation.
If that is the case, Josephine is in danger. Those people would make Josephine bleed so that they could gain more power!
“You have to wait for me here. Don’t go anywhere!” Jared ordered.
After saying that, he disappeared in a flash and rushed toward the Warriors Alliance.
Meanwhile, Josephine was confined in a room in a dungeon in the Warriors Alliance.
They also used an arcane array to suppress her powers.
Zion had a mask over his face as he looked at Josephine and felt tremendous excitement.
He could not let Josephine identify him. Otherwise, if the words spread, people would think that the Warriors Alliance was no different from a Demonic Cultivator.
“Who… Who the heck are you?” Josephine looked at Zion fearfully. “Why did you bring me here?”
Zion smiled and said, “Don’t be scared. I won’t hurt you. I only want to borrow something from you!”
“W-What do you want to borrow?” Josephine asked.
“I want to borrow the blood in your veins!” After saying that, Zion pulled out a gleaming dagger and grabbed Josephine’s wrist, frightening her.
