Chapter 1034 Did They Quarrel
Early in the morning, Skylar and Karl came to the Department of Justice to pick Jared up.
After Jared got into Skylar’s car, they sped off toward Southernshire.
While they were on the way to Southernshire, Lizbeth also bought a flight ticket to the city!
It took them a day to arrive at Southernshire. Jared noticed that the city had changed a lot and had many tourists.
Many cruise ships were docked by the port. Moreover, one could see a lot of posters put up by travel agencies at the entrance to promote a day trip to Dragon Island.
Jared was dumbfounded upon seeing it.
Since when has Dragon Island become a tourist attraction for ordinary people? Isn’t the island guarded by the Deragons?
Furthermore, as far as Jared knew, the island was inhabited by wild beasts, thus rendering it unsuitable for ordinary people to travel around.
While Jared was at a loss, Skylar put on a faint smile and explained, “Since you acquired the draconic essence of Ice Dragon, the ecosystem of Dragon Island has changed dramatically. The island has spring-like weather all year round, and wild beasts have left.
“Also, no one has seen the legendary Flame Dragon since then. Therefore, the Deragons decided to open Dragon Island to the public, turning it into a tourist attraction. The family is making a fortune out of it.”
After Skylar explained, Jared finally realized that the change in Dragon Island occurred because of him.
“Now that Dragon Island has become a tourist attraction for all, why do you still take me here?” Jared inquired.
“As I’ve said, we’ll keep it a secret temporarily!” Skylar smiled and continued, “You won’t renege on your promise, will you? After all, I’ve taken you to see your girlfriend.”
“No worries. I’ll go with you since I’ve made the promise!” Jared responded calmly.
Skylar only smiled in response and didn’t utter a word. Later, they booked a room in a hotel to get some rest, for they had to depart early in the morning.
After Jared and the rest entered the hotel, Lizbeth arrived at Southernshire but stayed in another hotel.
“Lizbeth…”
When Lizbeth was checking in, someone suddenly shouted her name.
Lizbeth turned around and realized that it was Walter.
“Grandpa…”
Overwhelmed by excitement, Lizbeth quickly came up to Walter and hugged him. “Grandpa, why are you here?”
“I heard there is a new tourist attraction in Southernshire called Dragon Island. The weather is spring-like all year round, while the scenery is spectacular. Hence, I invited Mr. Sullivan to travel with me. Staying in Horington is killing me!” Walter explained with a grin.
As soon as Walter finished, William called Lizbeth’s name.
“Mr. Sullivan!” Lizbeth greeted William.
At the same time, Tommy and Phoenix stood behind William. It appeared that both had recovered.
“Ms. Grange, how are you?”
Tommy and Phoenix came up to Lizbeth and greeted her in unison.
Lizbeth nodded and smiled in response.
“Lizbeth, why are you here? Where are Jared and the rest?” Walter asked Lizbeth curiously.
Lizbeth was stunned for a while but quickly made up a story. “Well, I’m here to travel around also because I’ve heard that Dragon Island has astonishing scenery. Jared and Josephine aren’t here with me!”
Given that William was present, Lizbeth thought she couldn’t tell them that she secretly followed Jared because someone had captured Josephine.
However, Walter’s expression turned grim upon hearing it. He quickly dragged Lizbeth to the side and asked, “Lizbeth, what really happened? Did you quarrel with Jared? Did Jared abandon you?”
“Grandpa, don’t overthink it. Nothing’s wrong between Jared and me. I’m here only because I want to go travel!” Lizbeth frowned as she spoke.
“I’m glad to know that you two didn’t quarrel!” Walter heaved a sigh of relief secretly.
Initially, Lizbeth planned to find out Jared’s whereabouts after checking in to the hotel. Now that Walter was here, she wouldn’t have the chance to do that anymore.
