Chapter 2953 Visiting An Old Woman
Both of them were clueless about the fact that Larry was Joan’s ex-husband.
“Joan, I miss you so much. When are you going to come back? Without you here, I have nobody to chat with,” Clara whimpered.
“Mrs. Wright, Joan isn’t coming back anymore,” Larry responded.
“Come on, don’t be like that. In any case, you should come and visit a poor old woman like me whenever you can,” Clara hurriedly replied.
“Okay Mrs. Wright, I’ll visit you tomorrow,” promised Joan.
Joan chatted with Clara for a while longer before hanging up the phone. Larry, who was sitting on the couch, was gazing at her with discontent.
Realizing that he was furious, Joan dashed over to him and sat down beside him. While smiling, she clung onto his arm and gave him a kiss on the cheek. “I’m just going to pay Mrs. Wright a visit. Don’t worry, it won’t take too long. I’ll make sure to take good care of myself,” she murmured.
“How about here?” Larry pointed at his lips, teasing her.
“Nope. A kiss on the cheek is all you get.” Joan got up and tried to run away as she was saying that. However, with a gentle pull, Larry was able to return her into his arms. He then proceeded to give her a fervent kiss on the lips.
The taste and softness of Joan’s lips were just as he remembered. As he was kissing her, he subconsciously started sliding his hand into her clothes. The atmosphere of the room suddenly changed.
Aroused, Joan was also getting really into it.
A while later, the two of them were panting heavily into each other’s ear…
“I take it you’ll let me go, ya?” Joan queried.
“Okay. However, you must let Caspian drive you there.” Larry placed her head on his chest. Truth be told, Larry was still very worried about Joan as he knew that there were other people who wanted to hurt her beside Della. What if there are enemies who have hidden themselves among Joan’s circle?
Joan nodded silently in response.
As expected, Caspian drove Joan over to Clara’s villa the following day.
“You’re finally here, my dear. I’ve missed you so, so much.” Clara grabbed Joan’s hands.
“How are you? Are you hurt? Is your body okay?” Worried, Clara was bombarding her with questions. Joan was touched by Clara’s concern for her. She’s so caring toward me even though we’ve only met like two months ago.
So there are still some good people left in this cruel and callous world!
Joan let out a cheerful smile before answering, “Don’t worry, Mrs. Wright. As you can see, I’m doing fine.”
She spun around in front of Clara to indicate that she was doing well.
There isn’t any wounds. That’s good to know.
“Enough about me. How are you, Mrs. Wright? Is your body okay?” Joan helped Clara to the living room as she was saying that.
After hearing Joan’s words, Clara seemed rather distressed.
I’m not okay! Everything has gone awry ever since I heard that you were Larry’s current girlfriend. What about my son? I thought you guys were getting along nicely…
Seeing Clara’s depressed look on her face, Joan frowned. What happened to her? Why is she suddenly so sad?
“Mrs. Wright, did something bad happen to you?” she asked.
“Yes. My future daughter-in-law is no more.” Clara shrugged her shoulders.
Joan was quick to get the meaning behind Clara’s words.
Love should be a mutual feeling. We can’t force it! Larry and I are together because we share the same feeling with each other.
Back when I lost my memory, Larry didn’t force me to love him even though I was his ex-wife. He knew that he can’t force his love on others. After some time, I fell in love with him naturally and we decided to be together!
